Carlos Alberto is passionate about evolving human consciousness, to support a sustainable world. He started attending 10-day silent meditation courses in 2001. After completing advance meditation training and certification, he began leading meditation sessions at wellness studios, corporations and in public schools in all five boroughs of New York City. He recently produced an 8-part meditation DVD series to support the incarcerated population in 13 prisons of the Massachusetts Department Of Corrections. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic he has shifted his operations completely online and is where he now leads all his live meditation sessions. For Carlos, consciousness is a worthy choice to integrate as a lifestyle, with the hopes to touch, move and inspire others to do the same.

3 YEAR SILENT RETREAT & LIFETIME INTEGRATION OF MEDITATION

Earle Birney helped create Diamond University and Retreat Centre, where he studied with Geshe Michael Roach for 12 years and completed a 3 year silent meditation retreat. Earle shares the teachings from many teachers in both Buddhist and Yoga lineages, and insights he has acquired along the way with a vast array of students. Earle leads youth programs, teaches weekly meditation classes, and leads workshops and retreats, to students around the world. Earle’s childhood marked by a pretty awesome combination of structure, support, play and freedom in his tight-knit community in North Vancouver, Canada. He was immersed in sports, lived surrounded by close friends, and had a supportive network of coaches, adults and teachers. But this feeling of integration didn’t translate into a zest for conventional. As he neared graduation from university, he began to realize that a life of following perceived societal norms — starting a career, buying a house with a white picket fence, getting married — didn't make sense to him. 4 months before graduating from his Leisure Studies degree he took out a student loan and bought a ticket around the world. With this, his quest to find happiness began elsewhere. In order to find a lifestyle that felt authentic, Earle followed many paths — some more productive than others. But his nonconformist curiosity finally paid off when he found yoga and meditation more than 25 years ago during an extended stay in New Zealand. He dove deep into these practices, and from then on, committed to continue exploring this inward journey. And, of course, his personal philosophical quest continues as ever.
